Nabasa Pheona Gladys Wall, Senior Counsel, is a Notary Public, Chartered Arbitrator, certified Insolvency Practitioner, and ESG Consultant with over 17 years of experience in the water, telecom, and legal sectors. She currently serves as Executive Director of the Fidelis Leadership Institute, partnering with the COMESA Competition Commission to train East Africans in competition regulation, and as Managing Partner of Nabasa & Co Advocates, a corporate and commercial law firm in Kampala.
Ms. Nabasa is an accomplished board leader, serving on the boards of Guarantee Trust Bank (Chair, Risk Committee), Liberty General, Fields of Life, the Uganda Women Entrepreneurs Association (Vice Chair, Audit & Risk Committee), and previously the East African Business Council.
She is a former President of the Uganda Law Society and has held leadership roles in the Judiciary Council, ICAMEK, CADER Arbitration Center, Teach for Uganda, and League of East African Directors.
A recognized thought leader, she has trained boards and executives in ESG, utility regulation, and transformational leadership, and has addressed over 500 audiences across Africa, Europe, and the US. Pheona has led international peace missions advocating judicial independence and ethical leadership, and has received multiple awards, including the New Vision 40 Under 40 (2018 & 2020), HIIL “Talent to Watch” (2018), the French-German Elysees Peace & Reconciliation Award (2021), and Africa’s Top 50 Leaders (2020).
