SOS Children’s Villages Mother

The Mother will be directly responsible for the care and development of the children within her SOS family. The Mother will be the leader of the family and will ensure the effective running of the household. She will fulfil the role of a mother, provide affection and security, support each child according to his / her individual needs and guide them towards self-sufficiency and independence. She will share her life with the children and will provide emotional security, affection and the opportunity to develop physically, mentally and spiritually. At the same time, the Mother is a child-care professional who cooperates with the other Children’s Village co-workers in meeting the needs of the children. The Mother shall work within the framework of SOS Children’s Villages Organisation Standards and Child Rights Based Approach.
